Name: Kamaboko
I’m the wife of a company employee and mother of two daughters.
We experienced our first overseas posting, traveled internationally from our host country, navigated our daughters’ entrance exams, and went through the school transfer process upon returning to Japan. Along the way, I’ve reflected on many “If only we had done this…” moments.
Our posting was in a challenging environment, but I managed to get through it with the support of fellow expat spouses and local friends I met along the way. I’ve created this blog to share our experiences in the hope that they might help others going through similar situations.
I also write about thoughts and everyday moments after returning to Japan.

初めての海外駐在、駐在先からの海外旅行、娘の受験、そして帰国後の編入を経験し、「もっとこうしておけばよかった」と振り返る日々。
夫の駐在先は決して楽な環境ではなかったが、渡航先で出会った同じように駐在している奥様方や、現地の方々に支えられながら、何とか海外生活を乗り越えた。
このブログは、同じような経験をする方々の参考や励みになればとの思いで綴っている。また、帰国後の日常で感じたことも少しずつ書き留めていく予定。
